I noticed that when you tag user talk pages with {{Blocked user}}, you seem to not create a heading seperating the last notification prior to the block and your notification, you just append {{Blocked user}} to the bottom of the user talk page. I have noticed that photos uploaded by any Government of India related websites under GODL-India licence are marked by some bots as reviewed. DR's categories, again

Hi, as I already wrote I've noticed that you have opened many other DR's on FOP cases without putting them in the relevant /pending category, but putting them only in the /deleted category when the DR is ended, thus excluding non admin users from checking if the DR was right or not. Could you please stop doing that? As a non admin myself I help on a weekly basis to check the DRs, that doesn't mean to challenge them always, but very often giving more infos about the author and so on, things that a non-mothertongue can't normally find. Hi, I saw that there aren't too many high-resolution images of the Leningrad Codex, found at Category:Codex Leningradensis and was thinking about uploading the pages to Commons. Question about something

Good day Taivo, it's me KhantWiki, the user that you had blocked for a month, my block has expired on December 2. I conclude that I have learned everything about knowledge and information I needed about Wikimedia Commons, I have sent a apology to the user who's name is Ninjastrikers, who reported about me to you on Commons:Administrators' noticeboard, I also wants to send apologies to you either way. I now righteously claim and portray that I'm a editor with experience, knowledge, and expertise now. I now, know how to differentiate between right and wrong, copyrighted and non copyrighted materials and photos. I suppose that the matter has been resolved now and no further warnings, blocks and sanctions are needed on my account as I will at all cost, avoid uploading any copyrighted work and materials of any person that has protection to it. I guarantee and promise you that I will give a credible credit to not upload any non-free, copyright violations, unclear licensed images taken from elsewhere. I had been learning and obeying the rules of Commons:Licensing, there's nothing that you had to be compromised about when a user is learning and obeying rules and policies made by Commons. I have concluded that there are many images in public domain in my country that I can upload without any copyright protection. It may not be that necessary, but here's my question, Taivo, before there were any sanctions on my account, when I searched up my name KhantWiki on Google, my name always pop up with the Wikimedia Commons, but I don't see it now, is it perhaps because of sanctions and blocks on my account? I want my name and account to pop up on Google like the way it was before the sanctions. Is there any way or advice you have for this or this is normal? I have already signed my name on both Commons and Wikipedia. I also share concerns about my English Wikipedia page, too. There are no sanctions or blocks placed on my account of English Wikipedia, but I suspect that it also appeared on Google before, when I have searched it up, it disappears, and only my Burmese Wikipedia account pops up when I search my name on Google. Regarding this user, you had declined the unblock request, and while I agree with your reasoning, I can't help but find it a bit unfair that the user got blocked for such a rather minor offense without any prior warning and without having ever broken any rules before. I gave Unionofpeopleni 48 hours to respond before I would impose a block. They had no recent edits, so it isn't like they were obviously ignoring that warning. You blocked them well before that time expired (about 16 hours vs. 48). Please, if you haven't, look at what I wrote both on their user page and on COM:AN/U. I do feel that the early block reduced the chance of meaningful dialoguez. Yes, that's probably true: simple ignorance. But generally uploading copyvios after warning results a block. You said "They had no recent edits" – well, because you deleted them as copyvios. (talk page stalker) @00ay: (1) the fact that someone hasn't gotten back to you within 8 hours does not mean you are being ignored. All Commons admins (including both Taivo and myself) are volunteers. We all sleep. Most of us have paid jobs or other responsibilities. Plenty of us go days at a time without logging on.

If you are the original uploader: you made a very weird decision by visibly watermarking the photo (something usually done only by people super-protective of their copyrights) and then releasing it into the public domain.

There is no particular reason Taivo can help you with this issue more than someone else, and he is not a member of the VRT (nor am I), so neither of us is officially involved with confidential correspondence to prove someone's identity. If you want to do something that proves your identity and asks for a courtesy deletion (or redaction) you should correspond with the VRT, at the email address given on their page. Hi Taivo, this DR is regarding a simple duplicate file: The uploader of the duplicate file (File:Yamamoto what do you say america.tif) was User:かたうら (see deletion log on the page [1] ) and not the "US National Archives bot" as you mention in the DR and. I put a redirect on this place at the processing of the duplicate file. The redirection is globally not in use ([2]). So, in my opinion it is safe to remove this redirection (per G2 from User:かたうら) and close the DR. What do you think?--Wdwd (talk) 08:44, 18 March 2025 (UTC)

Hi. Sure, the file is being used on a draft article but it hasn't been edited since 2019 and the use is clearly promotional regardless. I don't really see why it wouldn't qualify for speedy deletion at this point. Or are we suppose to just wait indefinitely for a company to remove their own SPAM upload from a dead draft article that's clearly not going to main space so we can get rid of promotional material on here? Not to argue about it, but other admins have deleted files I've nominated for speedy deletion under similar circumstances and Commons:Criteria for speedy deletion doesn't say anything about in use files from what I can tell.
